Fromagination E-Commerce/Marketing Assistant


The E-Commerce Marketing/Assistant is responsible for assisting the E-Commerce manager with website duties and website marketing, including:

  1. Facilitate Website E-Commerce
  2. Online Marketing and Advertising; Search engine optimization; Analytics

The E-Commerce Assistant works directly with the E-Commerce Manager as well as the Owner


Website Marketing/Analytics (75%)

  1. Identify and utilize targeted WooCommerce and Google analytics (i.e. location, device, website visitation, and purchasing habits) to identify and regularly report key metrics to maximize sales
  2. Produce weekly sales reports for online products
  3. With planning and regular, meaningful input from the business owner, manage, analyze, and communicate success of content and promotional calendars for ecommerce business, including sales, email marketing campaigns, and product promotions
  4. Establish, track, and communicate business KPI (key performance indicator) as well as other pertinent metrics utilizing WooCommerce analytics plugin and MailChimp reports
  5. Determine sales related upselling, cross-selling, and text marketing opportunities based on website best sellers, through analysis and regularly scheduled updates
  6. Plan and analyze Google Ad Words keyword campaigns / metrics.

Facilitate E-Commerce Functions: in tandem with E-Commerce Manager (25%)

  • Partner with other Fromagination staff by providing WordPress and related
    technical knowledgebase
  • Manage website inventory; perform weekly inventory update
  • Update customer e-mail data, tied to MailChimp
  • Spend time in store understanding key merchandise themes by season to ensure consistency with brick and mortar and website
  • Learn and be familiar with the features of the WooCommerce plug-in
  • Maintain functionality of e-commerce sections of website, including payment, product and shipping functions
  • Set up and maintain product records, including drafts and deletions, as well as maintaining promotional coupons
  • Maintain online customer records; transfer and archive customer data
  • Create a compelling product experience on the site, to include inspirational merchandise presentation, simple and intuitive category navigation, and clear and accurate product details.
  • Maintain cohesive Fromagination brand strategy online
  • Implement SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis of current website as it compares industry competitors
  • Research and communicate current, emerging, as well as innovative ECommerce and marketing trends


  • Availability of 25-30 hours a week
  • Basic understanding of website functionality, especially Google Analytics, WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to “multi-task”
  • Computer skills including keyboarding, archiving, and document management, Excel/Google sheets spreadsheets
