Vacherin Fribourgeois is a hearty and potent Swiss cow milk cheese with a semi-soft to firm texture, depending on age. Its taste is grassy, nutty, and with the perfume of fresh-cut hay.

Vacherin Frigourgeois is an “old fashioned” Vacherin with an uneven, craggly rind and harsh edges. This cheese is extra aged and fall under the surchoix category.  It is aged two years or more.

This cheese is authenticated and registered under the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) system.

Made from raw cow milk and aged at least two years.
