Gingerbread Friends

Our favorite ginger molasses recipe, all dressed up for winter and enjoying the snow! Crunchy cookies with warm spices and a little Dutch chocolate.

Each individual unit is 2 servings, or 3.17 ounces / 90 grams.

Ingredients: Flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), butter (pasteurized cream, natural flavorings, milk), sugar, molasses, egg (whole eggs, citric acid, 0.15% water), corn syrup (corn syrup, salt, vanilla, vanilla beans, water, ethyl alcohol), cocoa powder, ground ginger (ginger, sulfur dioxide), ground cinnamon, ground cloves, salt, black pepper, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate).

About Persephone Bakery: Persephone began with Ali and Kevin Cohane. Amid snowy ski seasons and alpine adventures, while working in restaurants to make the most of their time in the Tetons, a dream began taking root in the couple’s minds. They had fallen in love with Jackson (and each other) and wanted to use their passions, science and design, to create something new in the community. After moving to study culinary arts in Paris, and then design in Chicago, Kevin and Ali moved back to the Tetons and opened a small wholesale production space. First, they ran town square farmer’s markets, then opened a brick-and-mortar a block away, and now, with three Jackson Hole coffee shops and cafes across the valley, the Cohanes are grateful to share the time-honored traditions of French pastry in the wild west of Wyoming.
