This cheese is an original Marieke Gouda that has been bathed in red wine.  We suggest pairing it with fruit and a red wine.

Thorp cheese

This interesting offering is a red wine-infused Gouda cheese from one of the masters of Gouda, Marieke Penterman of Holland’s Family Cheese.  Thorp cheese is a new offering named, in the European tradition, for the town where it originated.  It has a distinct grey coloring near the rind, and a clear whiff of wine when freshly cut.  Thorp further distinguishes this Netherlands-born, now America’s Dairyland cheesemaker.
