The Cheese of the Month program at Fromagination allows subscribers to receive three half-pound chunks of artisan Wisconsin cheese at their doors each month. For January we decided to feature “the Post-Holiday Blues,” a selection of three really delicious blue cheeses made in America’s Dairyland. Our Cheese of the Month recipients should be receiving the following cheeses in the next day or two:
- Dunbarton Blue – Roelli Cheese – Shullsburg, Wisconsin – a unique blend of an English-style cheddar (slightly dry and crumbly) with the bite and creaminess of a French blue cheese.
- Hook’s Original Blue – Hook’s Cheese – Mineral Point, Wisconsin – a delicious Danish-style blue cheese, aged more than a year, and possessing a strong, tangy blue flavor and a somewhat sweet finish.
- Moody Blue – Emmi Roth USA – Monroe, Wisconsin – is smoked with fruit wood to give it an undertone that is subtle, sultry and…yummy. It’s a U.S. Cheese Championships ribbon winner.
