The beginning of October marked Fromagination’s first foray at the huge, annual celebration of (mainly) cows in Madison: the World Dairy Expo (WDE). We took our collection of artisan cheeses and other local, small producer foods to the international audience that gathers each year to buy things like milking equipment, cow water beds and feed made from beets.
Fromagination’s WDE booth featured an old-fashioned farm table, delicious cheese samples and an opportunity to win a raffle for a Fromagination gift basket. While the weather was not always cooperative, our visitors taught us a few things about the dairy industry, and, we hope, learned a few things about some of the great cheeses that result from Wisconsin’s dairy business.
