Pop-up Shop at Epic Systems

Fromagination appeared at local software giant Epic Systems’ annual User Group Meeting (UGM) in mid-September to welcome nearly 10,000 Epic clients to a Wisconsin Agriculture Expo tent. Located in Verona, Wisconsin, just southwest of Madison, Epic chose “Down on the Farm” for its conference theme, so Fromagination arranged for 16 local cheese and other food producers to sample their wares. Visitors from all over the United States and some foreign countries tried award-winning Wisconsin cheeses, and chocolates, crackers, meats, preserves and more.

“We have sold Wisconsin artisan foods for a day at the conference for a few years,” said Ken Monteleone, Fromagination owner and general manager. “But this year was much more of an effort to educate guests about the producers of those high-quality foods. It was a rewarding event!”

Epic also invited the Farm Bureau, and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection to exhibit in the tent, and had various farm animals on site to educate its visitors. Fromagination also arranged for a display from the National Historic Cheesemaking Center, in Monroe, Wisconsin, to tell guests about one of the “roots” of America’s Dairyland.
