Dill Havarti cheese

Dill Havarti cheese from Emmi Roth USA, Monroe, Wisconsin

This is a picture of the Fromagination cow

Made from pasteurized cow milk.

Wisconsin does it again.  No need for the Danish type.  It’s smooth, subtle, but with a fresh dill flavor.  What’s the secret?  The dill oil and the dill get added to the milk instead of the curd, for double dill action.

The milk is rBST-free.

Dill Havarti cheese

Emmi Roth USA make a wide variety of great Wisconsin cheeses, including this Dill Havarti cheese.  Calling the rolling hills of Southern Wisconsin home, a family of cheesemakers has been crafting award-winning specialty cheese for more than 150 years. It all started in 1863, when Oswald Roth began crafting and curing cheese in Uster, Switzerland. Today Roth Cheese is part of the Emmi Group.  They continue to focus on specialty and artisan cheeses that originated in the traditions of European recipes, as well as American Originals. With cellars for aging and authentic copper vats, Emmi Roth cheeses are a testament to the craft of the cheesemaker.

Pairing suggestions: Potter’s Caraway Rye crackers, Sauvignon Blanc or Merlot wine.
