Hooks Triple Play Extra Innings cheese, Hook’s Cheese, Mineral Point, Wisconsin

Made from pasteurized cow, goat & sheep milk.

Hook’s Triple Play is made from a blend of cow, sheep and goat’s milk from nearby farms. Aged for over a year, this unique rindless cheese has a firm, dense paste that is sometimes crystalline, and ranges in flavor from sweet to savory, with herbaceous, grassy notes.

This cheese got 3rd place in the U.S. championship and the American Cheese Society competition.

Hooks Triple Play Extra Innings cheese

Triple Play cheese is a mixed milk cheese! It is made from cow, goat and sheep milk, and aged over one year. In fact, the aging process allows the Gouda flavor to become more prevalent and crystals begin to form.

This cheese is also featured in some of our cakes of cheese! Wedding Bells, and Derby Hat.

The husband and wife team of Julie and Tony Hook met in college, and their love for food cheese set them on a cheese-making adventure 40 years ago. Today, Hook’s Cheese Company produces a wide variety of aged Cheddar cheeses, Blue cheeses, and many, many more.

I absolutely have a new favorite cheese. I love the tangy-ness of this cheese plus the subtle hints of sweetness. Goes great with Concord grapes.
