This cheese has notes of nuts and mushrooms in its flavor profile…and it’s “goatier” with a fruity finish.  Fromagination is happy to welcome a new goat cheeses from Blakesville Creamery in Port Washington, Wisconsin to the shop!  We also carry After Glow and Lake Effect cheese, other soft-ripened cheeses from the same source.

It weighs approximately 1/3 pound (each), and is aged 4-6 weeks.

Description

Lake Breeze cheese

This pasturized goat milk cheese is soft ripened.

These diminutive drums are dense and clay-like in texture – they melt in your mouth the way peanut butter does. The aroma is profoundly mushroomy and musky, and the flavor is bright, lactic, nutty, and goaty.

Blakesville Creamery is part of Blakesville Dairy Farm in Port Washington, Wisconsin.  They have 900 goats!
