Come and meet Inga Witscher, host of Wisconsin Public Television’s “Around the Farm Table” show. During this one-hour class, Inga will share her bandaged Cheddar, St. Isidore, and compare it with other Cheddars. Learn about the world’s most popular cheese type!
We will discuss the cheddar-making process and the difference between farmstead cave-aged Cheddar and other aged Cheddars such as Hook’s 12-year Aged Cheddar.
Inga will talk about the land, the diet for cows, the milk, and the cheesemaking process. We will taste Cheddar from England and Wisconsin to compare them, and discuss pairing other foods with Cheddar.
You will also learn more about how Inga began cheese-making and get to meet a Wisconsin television celebrity.
