Made from raw cow milk.

Marieke Gouda cheese is traditional farmstead Goudas made by a Dutch cheesemaker who moved to northern Wisconsin.  Marieke Penterman came from the Netherlands with her husband, Rolf.

This version is excellent, presenting the lucky cheese-eater with sweet garlic and onion caramelized flavors and a smooth, creamy texture.

Onion and Garlic  Gouda cheese

Holland’s Family Cheese imported its equipment, cultures, herbs and spices all from the Netherlands.  In fact, the rBGH free cows milk from the Penterman Farm cows is piped directly from the first milking of the day directly into the processing vat – fresh ingredients!  Garlic & Onion Gouda cheese is one of the many flavored Goudas offered by Marieke Gouda.

Pairing suggestions: Bliss Maple syrups, Door County dried cherries, Ale Asylum Contorter Porter ale.
