Wisconsin Sheep Cheese

Wisconsin’s sheep milk cheeses are often sweeter than cow or goat milk cheeses due to enzymes in the milk. Sheep milk cheese is also generally richer because of higher fat content in the milk. Cheeses made with sheep milk becoming more popular in Wisconsin, whether in soft, fresh form or hard, grating cheese form. Sheep milk is highly nutritious, and often richer in vitamins and minerals than cow milk.
