Made from pasteurized cow milk, featuring vegetarian rennet.

Hook’s 10-Year Aged Cheddar is sharp, like any aged cheddar, but still smooth and buttery, with great nutty flavors and a firm, almost crumbly texture that has crunchy calcium crystals.

This award-winning cheddar is a favorite among those on the restaurant circuit, managing to please all palates. Bring to room temperature before serving.

Tony and Julie Hook have been making cheese in Wisconsin for more than 30 years. Starting out as a fairly small operation, the Hooks made primarily Cheddar and Swiss cheeses. Some years later they expanded to Colby, Monterey Jack, and flavored Jacks and eventually they grew to such an extent that they needed to find a larger working space. Many more artisan cheeses and awards later, the Hooks now make cheese from their Mineral Point location in southwestern Wisconsin.

Pairing suggestions:  Fromagination Cranberry Relish made by Quince & Apple, Door County dried cherries, Guinness beer, Argentine Malbec wine.
