Hook’s Eight-Year Aged Cheddar Cheese

Made from pasteurized cow milk, featuring vegetarian rennet.

This eight-year-old Cheddar is one of Hook’s Cheese’s crown jewels. Most versions of this cheddar are colored with annatto seed to give the cheddars that traditional Wisconsin-yellow color. However, the eight-year is the “white sheep” of the family.

Hook’s Cheese is located in Mineral Point, Wisconsin

Hook’s Eight-Year Aged Cheddar is a great addition to any cheese board!

Tony and Julie Hook have been making cheese in Wisconsin for more than 30 years. Starting out as a fairly small operation, the Hooks made primarily Cheddar and Swiss cheeses. Some years later they expanded to Colby, Monterey Jack, and flavored Jacks and eventually they grew to such an extent that they needed to find a larger working space. Many more artisan cheeses and awards later, the Hooks now make cheese from their Mineral Point location in southwestern Wisconsin.
